Hello Everyone!

I’m hosting a virtual event in July with Joe Atman! It’s called the What is Truth? Summit and it’s taking place in July. I have my talk ready, and I’m going to be telling a story that is familiar to long-time readers and listeners of my work. I’m going to talk about my journey from being raised evangelical to being a progressive liberal and how that informs my work and why I always look at the news narrative.

Here’s some info about the event:

What Is Truth? Refining Your Discernment in the Age of Misinformation is a two-day virtual summit with Cameron Lee Cowan and Joseph Atman (and friends), exploring how we recognize truth when noise, distortion, ideology, and emotional manipulation compete for our attention. Drawing from Cameron’s work in cultural analysis, public commentary, and meaning-making, alongside Joseph’s work in philosophy, theology, education, and consciousness, this summit will help attendees think more clearly, ask better questions, and develop deeper inner stability in an age of confusion. Across July 17–18, the conversation will move beyond fact-checking alone to address the habits of mind, spiritual formation, and philosophical grounding needed for real discernment. Together, Cameron and Joseph bring a combination of cultural insight, intellectual rigor, and reflective depth to a timely question: how do we live truthfully when misinformation is everywhere?

Joe’s going to be giving a great talk; I have a great keynote as well; Wade Fransson will be there; and we have a handful of other speakers too, all pointed toward one goal: helping truth seekers like yourself discover truth in an age when truth has left the group chat in favor of narrative.
