"Philosophy is at once the most sublime and the most trivial of human pursuits, it works in the minutess crannies and it open out the widest vistas. It bakes no bread, as has been said. But it can inspire our souls with courage and repugnant as its manners, its doubting, its challenging and quibbling in dialectics, often are to common people. No one of us can get along with the far flashing beams of light it sends over the world's perspectives." - William James (Pragmatism)

The love of wisdom is Socratic. The act of thinking and existing is philosophy's only true truth-claim. Defined by the sample size of Laplace's Demon, ultimate Truths violate fundamental laws of entropy. Truth is discovered one rubric at a time, it's cumulative, it "adds" up.

Finding the truth of all that matters is the quest of all philosophers. William James was omniscient-like to point out personal biases and perspectives that plague the individual philosopher and in doing so gave the field of philosophy a better overall theory. Universal truth maybe minimally utopian, yet the individual truth, must be protected. Maximally utopian, metaphysics can metastasize. Safeguards against the unthinkable feel like a biological adaptation on the social level. I am not sure if this is even a studied field. I could ask an evolutionary biologist, Brent Weinstein?, He would do.

"The only fate I acknowledge is fatally flawed." - Dr Cory Elliot, (fictional phenomenon)

"The only democracy that we need is the democracy of ideas and equality amongst opportunity." - Dr Cory Elliot, (fictional phenomenon)

Philosophy can help put theories into a larger context. In Chapter 11, I outlined the QFT Horizon Principle and refer to it as Gilding the Lily. Expanding mathematics philosophically. Contact me if you can help with the philosophy or the mathematics. Let's leave the physicist out of it for now. They have multi-universe theories, cubism, and spookiness at a distance to sort out. Ironically, Physicists are not good at metaphysics. Besides math and philosophy deserve the credit this time.
