Descartes’ immaterial soul or Kant's noumenal self were nice attempts in their time but they should have known better.
This is a light jab but only in words. Substitute, “better” with, “more”. They should have known more in their time. Imagine what they could have left us. This is a fallacy of thinking that I am aware of. I enjoy these types of mind romps, they relax the creative muscles and social influences.
