Inspired by B. F. Skinner (1904-1990)'s quote, "The way positive reinforcement is carried out is more important than the amount.". The titled responsion is

There is a wide difference between "the old way"the new way", the latter being more likely to lead to a good outcome. A person who is very negative and does not talk is an example of the old way, whilst a person who is happy and talkative would be a good choice for the new way. People can change to fit in with the new way of thinking, or even just do what they are told. This may take a while and require some effort but it is important to be patient. People who are not positive and do not believe that they are better than others will not get on well at work and will be more likely to make poor choices.

However, it is important to understand that the way positive reinforcement is carried out is far more important than the results. If a person goes from having no positive reinforcement to having it all over them, then it may seem like an easy way out but this is not always so. In fact, it can often lead to feelings of depression as people are not sure how to deal with such a drastic change. If you are not sure about the new way of thinking, then do not try to change yourself to fit into it; you may find yourself feeling depressed instead.

The best way to carry out positive reinforcement is to practice with others. This may take a while to do, especially if you have never tried it before. When you first start out, think about things that make you happy. Do this a few times and then have a look at your life with them in mind. If you do not feel that they are working, then stop them. This will help you gain confidence and become more positive. Positive reinforcement is not the end of the world, but if it is done correctly, then it is an essential part of your success.
