Candidly Candide

Inspired by Philip Sidney (1554-1586)'s quote, "The ingredients of health and long life, are great temperance, open air, easy labor, and little care.". The titled responsion points to the higher road where the descent is slow but long. Enjoy the ride.

There is a Solid Work Ethic in There Somewhere

Inspired by James Anthony Froude (1818-1894)'s quote, "No person is ever good for much, that hasn't been swept off their feet by enthusiasm between ages twenty and thirty.". The titled responsion is filled with folly, if not in misdirected wisdom the "I told you so" tauntings of easier said than done.

If it's all about work ethic, what is this incessant pull towards the passions, to individuate and express novelty. Coupled to identity this bifurcation of sorts pre-exists your individual existence and part of your "Becoming". If this resonates as philosophical drivel that is because it is but words matter, that is, in a metaphysical sense. If you don't "believe" me, go ahead and ask a mathematician! Imagination is the station of life, the pathway of prosperity in which your individual "train" of thought arrives. Do you see what I'm saying?

Good Writing is an Academic Responsibility?

Inspired by Flannery O'Connor (1925-1964)'s quote, "Everywhere I go, I'm asked if the universities stifle writers. My opinion is that they don't stifle enough of them." The titled responsion begins as a statement but ends in a question, "Good Writing is an Academic Responsibility?". What follows is subject to revision, do you have any suggestions?

Responsibility, like research, is worth revisiting, reexamining and not necessarily challenging but understanding the roles that we play and how a normative ontology benefits a eudaimonic society of sorts. Wishful thinking is what we should discuss next and yet I must add that any and all claims of eudaimonia are punctuated with a directional vector and the, of sorts ending and implies an ordered arrangement; my Aesthetics as handed down to me by previous generations by way of biology and the transfer of culture.

Bingo!

Inspired by Marilyn Monroe (1926-1962)'s quote, "I don't mind living in a man's world as long as I can be a woman in it." The titled responsion is "Bingo!". What follows is subject to revision, do you have any suggestions?

Boundary conditions are telling but not absolute, the wisdom of playing by the rules is a testament towards the resilience of the "femalist", realizing there is also a flip side to this equation of equality, we (men) just come at it (women) from the opposite side of biology, that is if you dichotomize existence in the formes (Plato) and figures of sexual selection. That being said, these selective pressures lie in the hands, and minds, of women!
