Responsibility Sans Ability to Respond is an Oxymoron and Another planksip® Möbius

My working definition of freedom is the ability (and capacity) to respond. Able minded individuals may have physical limitations that prevent the freedom they desire. Mental health is where fear comes from, well actually the amygdala is where fear comes from but the manifest felt experience is a healthy mind in a state of homeostasis. This doesn't mean that the mind can't deal with complexity or adversity, it means if your mind can't effectively process the plethora of varied input and subsequent affection without a degradation an ordered sense of space, balance or eudaemonia you may need a friend and some help.
