Society has to change, but the political powers we have at the moment are not enough to effect this change. The whole democratic system would have to be rethought.
- José Saramago (1922-2010)
Inspired by José Saramago (1922-2010)'s quote, "Society has to change, but the political powers we have at the moment are not enough to effect this change. The whole democratic system would have to be rethought.". The titled responsion is a symetry of sorts, perverse yet sometimes effective.
Where you see asymmetry I also see a symmetry of sorts, and so we couldn't be further apart on our views of governance and personal conduct. The danger lies in the suffering of others and the delta of change as we combat the entropic forces that want to pull us apart. Strife, forgiveness and the flourishing of all are up for discussion but who is going to take action and what does our newly improved society look like generations from now? Better yet, how will our generation be remembered? What is our legacy for the civilized of the twenty-fourth century look like? This three-hundred-year generation is the retrospective reversal into the future equal to where we are at in relation to the vision of the United States and the founding fathers of the eighteenth century.
Inspired by Lord Byron (1788-1824)'s quote, "On with the dance! let joy be unconfined; No sleep till morn, when Youth and Pleasure meet To chase the glowing hours with flying feet.". The titled responsion is a nice thought, light on your feet for hours, long into the evening; so long as the artificial light prolongs the youthful headaches soon to follow.
Remember the designated driver or at least the intent of the program. Intoxication promotes a sad headache the mourning after. Cool heads should prevail even with self driving cars. Our ability to respond is limited only by the contracts which we create, social and otherwise. Negotiate wisely!
